The Northern Arizona Peace Corps Volunteers invites you to join our Peace Corps entry in the Flagstaff, AZ 4th of July Parade that will be held on Monday, July 4, 2011. The really neat down-home parade through downtown Flagstaff starts at 9 am and has 100+ entries. Each year the Peace Corps entry receives a wonderful response from the parade crowd of about 10,000 folks.
This year is the Peace Corps' 50th Anniversary Celebration so our goal is to have a least 50 RPCVs join the Peace Corps entry in the parade. We also want to have as many of the 139 PC countries represented as possible. Everyone is encouraged to wear your finest clothes from your country of service. Bring a flag from your country of service or a sign. We will have materials available to made a sign the day of the parade.
After the parade everyone is invited to a no-host lunch at a restaurant in Flagstaff.
