Since March 1, 1961 when President John F. Kennedy signed an Executive Order establishing the Peace Corps, over 200 Kalamazoo College alumni have served as Peace Corps Volunteers, making “K” one of the largest per-capita producers of Peace Corps Volunteers among institutes of higher education.
In honor of the Peace Corps’ 50th Anniversary and the dedication and service that "K" alumni have contributed to the cause of promoting peace and friendship across the globe, Kalamazoo College will host a special Peace Corps Alumni Reunion during Homecoming and Reunion Weekend 2001, October 21-23 on “K’s” campus.
