The Peace Corps Office in Samoa and US Embassy Apia, Samoa will celebrate in its annual Fourth of July reception the contributions and anniversary of Peace Corps 50th worldwide and 44 years in Samoa. The celebration will be held at the Charge's new residence. Peace Corps volunteers in Samoa and their close contacts will be invited to the event which will coincide with the launch of its commemoration booklet of stories and photos from its 50th Anniversary contest--celebrating volunteer and Samoa stories on PCV contributions over the decades.
